Naomi Riches

Mark Slaski Peter Cowan

Naomi Riches was part of the Great Britain Para-Rowing team for a decade, where she competed in the Mixed Coxed Fours, until she retired in 2013. Her legacy includes winning medals at national, world and Paralympic level during her time in the sport, including a bronze at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games and a gold at the London 2012 Paralympics. Naomi was awarded an MBE in the 2013 New Year’s Honours List for her ‘Services to Rowing’.

During her rowing career, Naomi had the opportunity to use psychometric profiling to aid her performance. Inspired by this, she joined Thomas Sport as an associate in March 2014, working with the team to bring the Thomas tools to life in sports clubs, sporting organisations and with individual athletes.

Naomi has been a motivational speaker in schools since 2008, using her story to inspire and empower young people to achieve their goals and dreams. As a result of this, Naomi progressed to work with Thomas Education as well as Thomas Sport and in August 2015, became a Thomas Sport and Education Development Consultant.  This role gives her the opportunity to work very closely with clients to help them achieve results using the Thomas tools.

Naomi lives in Buckinghamshire and still rows with Marlow Rowing Club.  Alongside Thomas, she works for Sky Academy and the Youth Sport Trust.  Not many people know that Naomi is actually a trained Silversmith and makes jewellery in her spare time.
