We’re thrilled to share that we will be joining the upcoming Recruitment Agency Expo at the NEC, Birmingham this early October.

Jayson Darby, Head of Psychology will be contributing a 20-minute seminar on reducing the effect of adverse impact in recruitment, using a psychological approach.

Theatre: Business Insight & Professional Development
Time: 13:50 - 14:20

Seminar overview

It is widely acknowledged that important people-related decisions can be unintentionally influenced by individuals' unconscious biases, stereotypes we may hold that affect our behaviour and judgement without us realising. To explore this in more detail, Jayson will share his expert knowledge on the impact of unconscious bias in recruitment processes. He will also reveal the results of a research project, demonstrating how diversity and inclusion are supported, and adverse impact is reduced.

The session will provide information and insights about:

  • How assessing of candidates with psychometrics can provide invaluable insights to recruiters
  • Strategies for reducing unconscious bias and adverse impact through the recruitment process
  • The benefit to recruiters of being able to demonstrate how they ensure diversity and inclusion
  • How costs can be reduced by identifying key personality traits and using assessments to sift out unsuitable candidates at an early stage
