eRecruit cuts recruitment time by 50%

New system brings best practice recruitment processes to all companies

Thomas International today announced the launch of a new online recruitment system, which enables companies of all size to take advantage of best practice recruitment processes.

“On average, each advertised job is attracting around 85 applicants and 76% of businesses are experiencing an increase in unsuitable candidates”, said Peter Farrow, Thomas International’s UK Managing Director. “The challenge for recruiting mangers is to efficiently and cost-effectively process those candidates whilst ensuring they quickly identify and hire the right person for the job.”

Thomas’ new eRecruit system enables companies to quickly create a job advertisement based on the behavioural requirements for the job. It provides candidate filtering using Thomas’ leading recruitment assessments for behaviour, aptitude and ability, and personality. Further candidate screening is carried out using Killer Questions.

Candidates apply for the job using an online careers portal, which is branded with the company’s logo, eRecruit tracks those applications and enables the recruiting manager to manage all communications and interactions with candidates.

“We’re delighted that eRecruit clients are experiencing a 50% cut in the time they spend processing candidates”, continued Farrow. “It’s important that all businesses can benefit from the cost savings and improved professionalism that eRecruitment can provide.”

New norms for Thomas GIA

Keeps assessment highly relevant

Thomas International today announced a new set of norms for its General Intelligence Assessment (GIA). The new 2011 norms replace the previous norms, introduced in 2006, ensuring the assessment stays in-line with the current working population and remains scientifically robust.

“We are pleased to introduce these new norms,” said Peter Farrow, Thomas International’s UK Managing Director, “It is important for assessment providers to regularly refresh norm sets to ensure they reflect changes in working environments. This update is part of Thomas’ commitment to continually innovating and refreshing our assessments.”

Norms provide a frame of reference for interpreting assessment scores. To create norms, data is collected from a representative sample of the working population. The norm group is then used to compare an individual’s scores against the scores of their peers. This tells you how an individual has performed compared to the working population.

All of Thomas’ UK clients have access to the new norm set. Click here for more information on Thomas GIA.
