Diagnose & Fix Issues Affecting Team Performance
The Thomas International’s Team Analysis System (TAS) allows an organization to identify the ideal team culture, assess an actual team culture and provide a gap analysis in terms of behavioral and Role Fit shortfall. It also assesses every team member against the team culture.
The tool combines the Thomas PPA DISC Assessment Theory with Role Fit Theory. The combined insights for both measures provide a basis for building and developing great teams and maximizing organizational performance.
Assessing Team Roles - Role Fit Theory
The Role Fit Theory looks at the roles of team members in a team. When people on a team are utilized in roles where they have strengths, they will work quickly and naturally and with great job satisfaction. Utilizing people in this way makes for a team where members make their best contribution and all the unique strengths of members can be optimally utilized.
A successful team needs the right proportion of people with the right mix of skills, experience and perspective. A high performance team relies on three factors:
- Self awareness
- Recognition of different team member’s contributions
- Modification of behavior to enhance team effectiveness
Thomas’ Team Analysis System (TAS) allows employers to:
- Identify ideal team culture
- Assess existing team profiles
- Provide a gap analysis in terms of behavioral and role short fall
Identify & Address Gaps That Impede Team Performance
The end result of the Thomas Team Analysis is a Team Culture Chart and Comprehensive Team Analysis report. The report, which includes graphics, helps the team leader identify and address gaps that may impede attainment of optimum results.
