Aptitude Test: Tests for Selection and Training (TST)
- Using Thomas International's aptitude tests you can answer questions like:
- Can this person think on their feet?
- Can this person cope with the mental demands of the job?
- Could this person be a high performer?
- Is this person a problem solver?
Thomas provides aptitude testing or cognitive testing known as Tests for Selection and Training (TST). This aptitude test is an independently validated battery of normative ability tests. While academic achievement plays a large part in selection decisions, it is not an effective measure of a person’s mental ability and potential. Thomas' TST aptitude test measures a person’s mental processing speed, current ability level and ability to learn new information. The results provide insights into how quickly a person can learn and retain new skills and information.
The TST aptitude test is applicable at all levels of the organization. Accurately identifying an individual’s ability level will enable you to match candidates and employees more effectively with job requirements. The TST aptitude test is also used to benchmark your current work force so that continuous improvement can be achieved. The TST is an ability test not an intelligence test. It includes five timed tests, including: perceptual speed, reasoning, working memory, number speed and accuracy, and spatial visualization. Interested in the Thomas aptitude test?
