Tests Contribute to Better Decisions
Appropriate, selected tests (used in the right way) predict future performance for most skilled jobs. Appropriate personality tests are good at predicting career success, leadership, effort and integrity.
Tests are Objective
Given all the legislation on fairness it’s crucially important that you use fair techniques and can prove you have. Tests cut out subjective bias; leave an audit trail and can be chosen and set up to minimise any cultural age or gender bias.
Tests Save Time and Money
The use of tests, particularly those that are web based can dramatically reduce the cost and time involved in your people management activity by:
- Enabling you to set up shortlists and interview a smaller number of likelier prospects.
- Shortening interviews by focusing on critical issues identified by tests.
- Reducing travel costs.
- Making sure you recruit the right person, and don’t waste money on hiring (and possibly firing) the wrong one.
- Cutting down the amount of time collating information as the basis for a good decision
- Avoiding legal challenges. Use of tests proves evidence that you’ve been objective and fair.
- Cutting staff turnover which wastes time and money.
